A historic palace, a modern palace-inspired resort and a small heritage property are different experiences. We consider room comfort, location, atmosphere and how much time the route leaves to enjoy the stay. A few defining properties can sit alongside excellent supporting hotels.
Signature Rajasthan combines twelve nights across Ranthambore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Mharo Khet, Jawai and Udaipur, with wildlife camps, heritage hotels and a lake-palace finale. Grand India follows a wider northern arc in thirteen nights, including Agra, Ranthambore and Varanasi. Choose the rhythm before choosing more places.
For a different setting, consider a wildlife-focused lodge journey or Kerala’s hills and backwaters. Share your priorities for views, room categories, privacy and assistance; specific rooms and experiences require confirmation.
What shapes the price
Price the complete journey, not a hotel night.
Signature Rajasthan starts from $44,999 per person and Grand India from $12,750 per person. These are indicative starting points for two travellers sharing standard-category rooms, excluding international flights. Dates, availability and the final design determine the proposal.
Room upgrades, extra nights, additional rooms, internal travel and specialist arrangements affect the total. Each journey page states its proposed inclusions and exclusions. Festive pricing is available on request; an advertised hotel rate alone is not a quote for a privately designed trip.

Does a luxury India journey need palace hotels every night?
No. A defining palace stay can be balanced with a smaller heritage hotel, a well-located city hotel or a wilderness lodge. We consider the property’s role in the route, room comfort, location and time available to enjoy it. Historic palaces and modern palace-inspired resorts offer different experiences.
How do room categories affect the cost?
Published starting prices assume standard room categories and two travellers sharing. A suite, a particular view, connecting rooms or additional rooms can change the proposal substantially. Tell us which stays matter most so that the design reflects your priorities rather than assuming the highest category everywhere.
Which luxury India route suits a first visit?
Choose Signature Rajasthan for a broad Rajasthan route combining wildlife camps, palace cities, the Thar Desert and living craft. Grand India covers more of northern India, including the Taj Mahal, Ranthambore and Varanasi, with more moves. Classic Private India offers a ten-night introduction to Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur. We can refine any of these around your preferred pace.
Is a dedicated travelling host included?
The standard journey includes local guiding and on-call support. A host who accompanies your party throughout is a separate service to discuss and price in the proposal. Share the level of assistance you want so that professional fees, staff travel and accommodation can be set out clearly.
Can special access and festive arrangements be guaranteed?
Specific venues, room categories, private events and specialist encounters depend on permission and availability. We confirm the arrangements in your proposal rather than promise access from a sample itinerary. Christmas, New Year and other festive periods are priced on request.
